Dr. Nelligan received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1992 after working as a geologist in the 'oil patch' in Texas and Alaska for several years. He joined the staff at Standish Veterinary Hospital in 1995 and bought the practice in 1996.
Dr. Morin is originally from New Brunswick, Canada, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI, Canada in 1993. After working for 5 years in Labrador and Newfoundland, she decided to move to Maine. She joined the staff of Standish Veterinary Hospital as a full time associate in 2008 and brought extensive experience in small animal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Alec Thomson received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and worked in New York City until 2009. After moving to New Hampshire, he joined the staff at Standish Veterinary Hospital as a full time associate in 2011 and brought extensive experience in small animal and emergency medicine.
Dr. Monica Norman received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Oklahoma State University in 1994. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in the state of Maine as well as New Hampshire with her primary focus on small animal medicine. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the New Hampshire Veterinary Medical Association. Monica was raised on a dairy farm in Sidney Maine and graduated from Messalonskee High school. Dr Norman has done volunteer work with the Marine Animal Lifeline and the New Hampshire Disaster Animal Response Team.
Dr. Sara Schipper
Dr. Sara Schipper is a native of New England. She received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Since then she has practiced in Massachusetts ,Iowa and now Maine.. Dr. Schipper practices both small animal medicine and surgery and has a special interest in veterinary dentistry. After 10 years in the Midwest, she has returned home with her husband and three children. Dr. Schipper enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
